Unhurried private GP appointments in Fulwood, Preston for health concerns, medication reviews, fit notes where appropriate, referrals and onward tests

Private GP Consultations

What we offer

A private GP consultation gives you time to discuss a health concern in a calm and confidential setting. Our aim is to listen properly, assess what is going on, explain the options and agree clear next steps with you.

Your GP can review symptoms, medical history, current medicines and relevant previous results. Where clinically appropriate, they may arrange blood tests, imaging, prescriptions, fit notes or referral to another specialist or service.

Private GP care at Elixier Diagnostics is designed to complement, not replace, your NHS GP or emergency care. We encourage you to keep your NHS GP informed where ongoing care, shared records or repeat treatment may be needed.

Why you may need this service

• New or ongoing general health concerns
• Medication review, side effects or questions about current treatment
• Sick / fit notes where clinically appropriate and legally suitable
• Referral for imaging, blood tests or specialist review
• Preventive health discussion and health-check follow-up
• Clear advice when you are unsure what type of test or appointment you need

Your appointment guide

Before you book

Please tell us the main reason for the appointment, your preferred contact details and whether you need any accessibility, interpreter, chaperone or communication support. If you are requesting a fit note, bring details of your illness, work role and absence dates.

How to prepare

• Bring a list of your current medicines, allergies and major past medical history.
• Bring any relevant hospital letters, blood results, imaging reports or discharge summaries.
• Think of your main concerns so the appointment can focus on what matters most to you.
• For children, please bring a parent or person with parental responsibility wherever possible.

At the appointment

We will confirm your identity, explain the consultation process and ask for your consent before any examination. A chaperone can be offered for intimate or sensitive examinations. The GP may examine you, discuss possible diagnoses, arrange tests or referral, and provide safety-netting advice.

How long it takes

Appointment length depends on the booking type. Please choose an extended appointment if you have several concerns, complex history or need a more detailed review.

Results and next steps

Any results, referral letters or follow-up instructions will be returned securely. If a result suggests urgent action is needed, we will contact you and advise the most appropriate next step.
